Title: Development timeframe
Post by: Definiteintegral on January 04, 2011, 06:16:39 pm
It is good to finally see a minecraft server in C++, not that filthy Java :-P

Any idea on what the development time frame will be until this server is usable for normal play? By which I mean including all features available in the current vanilla server

well thanks ;)

We don't really have a time frame because everyone is coding on their free time. But we are trying to get this done (meaning usefull) as soon as possible!

What we are currently missing:
 * Furnaces aren't working after Beta update
 * Minecarts/boats are not working
 * Redstone not handled at all
 * Water/lava physics are unfinished
 * Mobs...
 * Spreading grass
 * Some other minor stuff...(like stacking items)
 * few bugs that crash the server once in a while, altough I know what causes that, just need to find time to fix...;D

did I miss something? ;D Well anyway..we have some work to do...

Thanks for the info.

I would volunteer to assist with development, but I am too busy being addicted to playing minecraft, and hosting a server ;)

Keep up the good work. Can't wait until this is finished!

Would it be possible with a new update on the project?
