try adding zlibwapi.lib to your input for the project properties of mineserver.  (if you're using the latest zlib that is)

SMF itself is plagued with spam issues.

Also reCaptcha isn't the most secure method, trying adding a stupid question like "Do you like peanut butter?" to the registration, 90% of spam bots will fail registration then
