Why are'nt we adding a question like "Do you like peanut butter?" like Carve suggested? It would be the easiest thing and would cost $ 0...
The question could be modified, like "What is the best Minecraft Server Software?" - if any spam bot would beat this question, the bot should be kept in the forum because it is giving right answers.  Cheesy

There are some to edit the spawn point.

Yes, this is a different problem (Notch changed from UTF-8 to UTF-16, see here: http://mineserver.be/forums/index.php?topic=408.0), but I had no problem to connect with the newest version. I don't think that these errors are connected at all.

It is not the lighting.cpp which causes the error. The problem are the incorrect CMake-Files... I think if lighting.cpp is removed, "make all install" stops with the same error at the next file.
It seems that cmake does'nt set the CPU type correctly and puts a wrong value into the flags.

I can't look up what I had, but it was either "x86-64" or "x86_64". Try both Wink

Scan the ports from the server with the client machine. If 25565 is displayed, it is a problem with the client's Minecraft or with the servers Mineserver, if it's not displayed, it is a problem with Mineserver.
Did you restarted the server after opening the ports? I don't think you must restart, but try it, maybe this solves the problem  Wink

Hey guys!

I have built the new release; I noticed the fact that, as I logged in, the console said "tek1 logged in!" instead of "thegk01 logged in!". It seems that Notch changed the chat engine.
As I wanted to give me a bit TNT (because I'm working on TNT currently...), the console only received:
ietek1ttlP
give thegk01 tnt

I don't know how to fix it because I don't know the code of Minecraft... And nothing big changed on the chat.cpp file, or?

I hope this gonna be fixed... Until then, I try to program TNT Wink

EDIT: And I needed to change the config.cfg that users are not looked up in the Minecraft user database - Sure, there is no "tek1"...

Hey,

The problem is that "-march" is setted to "switch". This should contain the CPU type, but it does not. I don't know why I could build mineserver before without this problem, but I could.

You must execute the "cmake ." command, and then, replace "-march=switch" with "-march=x86-64" * in these files:
"mineserverdirectory/CMakeFiles/mineserver.dir/flags.make"
"mineserverdirectory/plugins/CMakeFiles/binlog.dir/flags.make"
"mineserverdirectory/plugins/CMakeFiles/commands.dir/flags.make"
"mineserverdirectory/plugins/CMakeFiles/crapmops.dir/flags.make" (Even if we could delete this one, sadly)
"mineserverdirectory/plugins/CMakeFiles/curseui.dir/flags.make"
"mineserverdirectory/plugins/CMakeFiles/filelog.dir/flags.make"
"mineserverdirectory/plugins/CMakeFiles/flatpermissions.dir/flags.make"
"mineserverdirectory/plugins/CMakeFiles/nBreak.dir/flags.make"
"mineserverdirectory/plugins/CMakeFiles/nether.dir/flags.make"
"mineserverdirectory/plugins/CMakeFiles/passiveMobs.dir/flags.make"

Okay. After that, you can run the "make all install" command without problems (hopefully Wink )

I think it's UTF-8.
In the fonts.txt file stands "Needs to be in UTF-8!" (Or a very similar sentence - can't look into it at the moment)

I think that ä, ö, and ü are in the game because they're swedish letters, too.
