31  Mineserver / Support / Re: Kick players with reason of "ы". It is the Russian letter. on: April 29, 2011, 06:28:50 pm
There are two problems:
1. Mineserver is not able to manage russian letters
2. Minecraft has in its font system only this letters:

!"#$%&'()*+,-./
0123456789:;<=>?
@ABCDEFGHIJKLMNO
PQRSTUVWXYZ[\]^_
'abcdefghijklmno
pqrstuvwxyz{|}~‚

... and some special letters (but not russian)

Forget it and use English. I know its bad but if there would be russian letters, there should be Chinese, Japanese, etc. letters, too. And this would be too much Wink

32  Mineserver / Support / Re: (2 repeated errors) incorrect chunk | chunk failed (getLight) on: April 17, 2011, 01:52:15 pm
I have the same problem.
My chunk sizes vary between 1 and 5 megabytes.
I think it would be better to have one file, one chunk (or fewer files). I think that mineserver does'nt read them as fast as every user interface wants to have this chunks.

Sometimes, before a chunk is regenerating due "missing xPos or zPox", the blocks which I build disappear. Then, I can't chat, and the whole server is uncontrollable (I can't enter commands). After 1 or 2 minutes, it is all okay... And one chunk is replaced Sad

Okay, I'll try to modificate the actual code to save it in other ways than the "normal" mineserver does.

Will report any success here.

33  Mineserver / Development / Re: System Requirements? CPU: ARM? on: April 03, 2011, 04:25:08 pm
My plan is to run it off a iPod touch Cheesy
I don't know if it works, because it is hard to get "gcc" running on the iPod touch.
Would be: 128 MB 513 MHz (but without any other processes except the system processes)

Cheesy
Will report if it works...
34  Mineserver / Development / System Requirements? CPU: ARM? on: March 30, 2011, 08:19:43 pm
Hello at all  Wink
I have two questions: Which system requirements does mineserver need to run "good"?
And: Can I run it with a ARM-CPU? (633 MHz)

Just a few questions... Wink

Okay,
since update, there is no problem like the error above.
But: I have the same problem that you reported (the first one)
Hmm...

Thanks anyway for the update, working good now  Cool

It is not exactly this error. I maybe wrote it wrong.
The error is
Error loading file
Failed to open file Worldname/region/r.X.Y.mcr (Where X and Y are -1, 0 or 1)

And after hundreds of times, mineserver stops with this error:

Segmentation fault

But this error is caused by the error printed above.

Running Mac OS X 10.6.5.
Running the "mineserver" command with sudo, so it is executed as root.
Additionally, I have read/write access to the files & folders mineserver uses.

39  Mineserver / Development / Mineserver fails at saving/generating chunks?! on: March 18, 2011, 04:31:41 pm
Hello at all,
I have a problem with my Mineserver.
If I launch the server within a map ( = the server should generate one), it generates a map and I can log onto the server. After moving a bit around I see always two lines of errors, showing hundreds of times...
The Error:
Error loading file
Failed to open file Worldname/region/r.X.Y.mcr
(Where X and Y are -1, 0 or 1)

It seems that this error is caused by saving the generated chunks into the files.
I did'nt change anything on the generate/save code.

When configuring the server to open a map generated by the original Minecraft server software or Minecraft, it does'nt create this error until I move out of the region Minecraft generated ( = I move into a point where Mineserver notices that it must generate new parts of the map)

I hope I did'nt make much mistakes in my text.
Please help me! I am confused... Cry
