Why don't you just use GCC, better compiler then Visual Studio.

CentOS.
I tried running it with Windows on the same specs, and it was slow. But thats no surprise.

Contact ICANN
If someone is squatting a domain just to try and make money off your potential traffic. ICANN sometimes can cancel that domain.
