Have you tried creating a build with https://github.com/louisdx/mineserver ?

Maybe this is something that can be used - http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=279882

NotoriousPyro the creator, is going to add a server administration features in the future.

Would be easier if it could be tweaked (when Mineserver is "complete" I'm sure he will add support for it), instead of building something from scratch.

SMF gets spammed a lot, even with captcha :/

lol.

Why are'nt we adding a question like "Do you like peanut butter?" like Carve suggested? It would be the easiest thing and would cost $ 0...
The question could be modified, like "What is the best Minecraft Server Software?" - if any spam bot would beat this question, the bot should be kept in the forum because it is giving right answers.  :D

Well the $140 is hard to justify. For me it is the easiest forum to stay on top of what is happening, most others you have to rely on email notification, where I feel a mail list would be easier :P

I normally use Joomla with Kunena (forum extension), but I have had sites with SMF, phpBB, vB, IPP...

Maybe Joomla, with Kunena and http://www.projectfork.net/ is something for the Mineserver devs.

Heheh there should be a "Hacker Corner" for people who try to run Mineserver on special devices - PS3, mediacenters, ipods.... :P

Those responses are slightly depressing to me, doesn't seem like Notch is that interested in performance....  ???

Would it be possible with a new build and setting up a system for nightly builds?
