16  Mineserver / Discussion / Re: Raspberry Pi on Minerserver 2.0? on: January 11, 2012, 12:14:31 pm
Im pretty excited to own a Raspberry Pi  Grin I doubt it would be difficult getting it up and running.  Endianness comes to mind - that might have to be handled differently.

I would be more worried about memory though since its only 256MB the Pi has.

The land generation code is still on his fork of the code.  Land generation is done using an old library called libnoise. It really does look cool imo.

I uploaded some screenshots.

Development has been pretty quiet the past few weeks. devs on holiday perhaps?  You can already build it and connect with a 1.0.1 client.
Basic features working already;
-Chat
-Digging
-Placing blocks
-Movement and head orientation works but buggy.

Edit: I completely forgot that flamer has added the land generation back as well.

Ive been playing around with my own fork trying to get mobs and dropped items to appear.

Mineserver 2 is going to be the successor to mineserver1.  It is a complete re-write of the original code.  Currently you can complie it from the git repo https://github.com/mineserver/mineserver2
