61  Mineserver / Development / Re: Roadmap/ToDo? on: February 28, 2011, 05:45:06 pm
I haven't seen serious segfaulting for a while =b passiveMobs was causing segfault just now but that should also be fixed.

Well the client seems to crash bit randomly but the problem is most certainly in the chunk sending, currently we send prechunk and the actual chunk right after each other. Vanilla server first sends all prechunks and then the chunk data...

ok, so I started making a wiki page..
I might need some help there Grin

Always nice to see people excited about Mineserver =)

We would certainly need few more coders to the project Grin

Oh and please join our irc channel #mineserver (@ irc.esper.net) if you can, most of the devs hang out in there! (and at this point I notice joehillen on the channel Wink )

..most of the "management" is done in the IRC channel..

Yes, we really need some ToDo-list, great idea, I know it's quite hard to figure out what to do even if you want to help =/

I'll see what I can do..

oh btw, we do have Feature request list but thats mostly just for "outsiders" =)

Those pigs are client side..
68  Mineserver / Support / Re: Mobs on mineserver on: February 12, 2011, 10:38:50 am
Theres only a test plugin for mobs called crapMobs.
As far as I know, no real mob AI has been implemented.

That's exatly the point I hate about git, and I believe it is the killer of open-source projects: forking. "You don't like it? Fork it" It means that there are thousands of forks of good ideas and none of the forks really work.

Well I'd like to say that my fork is the only one people should use Grin I'm constantly checking other forks for code I can merge..=)

(Doesn't tortoisegit require msysgit..?)

So... what did I do wrong?

edit config.cfg and set:
Code:
# Snow instead of grass
mapgen.winter.enabled = false;

ok, another fix for the socket closing problem =b

I was using the wrong error number variable in windows Grin
72  Mineserver / Development / Re: PowerPC(64) on: January 26, 2011, 03:26:07 pm
I believe this was the only place that had this kind of a problem Wink
73  Mineserver / Development / Re: PowerPC(64) on: January 25, 2011, 09:05:29 pm
So it was (big)endian problem, it should now be fixed.

Gzipped files contain the uncompressed length at the last four bytes and it was reading it in reversed byte order which caused the size to be quite too big to handle Wink

If you guys could try the newest Mineserver build..I made some changes for windows socket error handling. And the error message might also help!

My x64 build script is broken so I'm not using it for now Grin
75  Mineserver / Plugins / Re: The new Plugin API on: January 24, 2011, 05:53:04 pm
We will have some wrapper plugin to enable the use of Bukkit at some point.. Problem is that Bukkit is Java and Mineserver is C++ Wink
