Hello there just registered today to try out this server, it seems the captcha does not display in the google chrome browser.

I noticed also it is not possible to change your game mode with this server? is that correct?

Cool project i am going to check out the source and have a look at it.

More help for compiling mineserver on windows:
Fixed version of the build script for windows / VS2010
It's now included in the Build Pack also, just extract the stuff and run the script.

If you have git installed to %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Git\bin\git.exe it should work, otherwise change the script or download mineserver to mineserver\ and remove "rem" from the line "rem goto onlybuild" in the script.

By default the script will delete existing mineserver folder and clone the latest git version from http://github.com/fador/mineserver/, compile it using VS2010 and generate the zip package (if 7zip is found..)

I generated a new binary release for windows: http://mineserver.be/downloads/mineserver_2012_06_15_205000_7dd09525_VS2010.zip

I included the visual studio 2010 project files to the git repository. You can find them from win32\
All you have to do now is to put the files from the build pack to the visual studio directories:
libs to VISUAL_STUDIO_DIRECTORY\VC\lib and includes to VISUAL_STUDIO_DIRECTORY\VC\include

I hope you get it compiled now

As the title says I have been trying to build mineserver 1 on windows using visual studio 10.
But every time I try it when I'm almost done there are error that no one can explain to me.
I attempted it using cmake, the standard build pack, and a few other ways.
But none of them worked and fador couldn't really help much because he uses linux.
So I have been modding the standard java server but I feel much more comfortable in C++.
I would be really happy if someone can help me out.
So what I would need is the project folder (With the solution files and everything) as you use it.
Please take those 3 minutes and save me another month of frustration.

Well I have been trying to compile mineserver for about a month (Not the entire time).
But I tryed doing it whit cmake, I tryed to create the solution file's myself.
But no luck (I do get errors but for some reason I cant scroll up to read them).
So I really hope someone can give me the solution files, the source (Evety thing really).

Hello guys !
I'm not sure that this is the right section for my topic.

So yesterday i downloaded

mineserver_20110501231500_09f60f2f_VS2010_Beta.zip 01-May-2011 23:17 1.0M Beta 1.5 compatiblethan changed the config file and started mineserver.exe and mine minecraft.exe (version 1.5 Beta).
Than when i tried to connect to my server i got this error

I tried using your script today, and it finished with no errors...except there was no exe in the bin directory or the zip file created. xD

Maybe you're script is 2 years old? lol, does it need to be updated, or am I missing something...

Development / Reviving Mineserver 1

Some of you might already know that Mineserver (the first one) works with the latest client. I have a test server up at mineserver.be for now. Submit bugs to github issues.

There is also a new milestone set for version 0.2 of mineserver. (currently 0.1.16)

We still have a lot of work to do even to get to the usability level we were over a year ago Thanks to those protocol changes..
