Hello my friends.

First, sorry for my bad english, I'm a brazilian nerd. Grin

I downloaded the file "mineserver_20160125215600_eb5af36f_VS2013.zip", decompressed it and successfully compiled it on Zorin OS 9.1 64 bits (based on Ubuntu 14.04 64 bits).

The mineserver starts and the port 25565 is successfully opened at address 0.0.0.0 (all interfaces).

This is the mineserver output:

# Plugin loading
#
# The syntax is as follows:
#   system.plugins += ("<name>");
#   system.plugins += ("<alias>" : "<name>");
# Alternatively you can do this:
#   system.plugins.<alias> = "<name>";
#
# Plugins are to be found under 'system.path.plugins' path
#
# If you use the second syntax, you're limited to [a-zA-Z0-9_]+ for the alias.
# It's probably not a great idea to use any characters other than that anyway.
#
# <alias>
# The plugin alias is whatever you like, it will be passed to the plugin so it
# can use it as a sort of instance name. For example if you have two different
# ban lists (for some reason), you could have them both operating at once by
# giving them unique identifiers.
#
# <name>
# Plugin name. If it starts with underscore '_' character, mineserver tries to
# load it from within the main binary. Instructions on how to compile plugins
# into mineserver are pending, but it basically involves just compiling the
# plugin to an object file then linking it to the mineserver binary when it's
# built.
#
# More information on this topic will be covered on the wiki Soon (tm).

system.plugins = ();
#system.plugins += ("binlog");
#system.plugins += ("banlist");
system.plugins += ("commands");
#system.plugins += ("crapMobs");
#system.plugins += ("cursesui");
system.plugins += ("filelog");
system.plugins += ("flatpermissions");
system.plugins += ("nBreak");
system.plugins += ("nether");
system.plugins += ("passiveMobs");
#system.plugins += ("whitelist");

Please, help me. What's my mistake?

Thanks in advance.

Hi =)

There might be some problem with plugins, you could try disabling some of them, something like this:

system.plugins = ();
#system.plugins += ("binlog");
#system.plugins += ("banlist");
system.plugins += ("commands");
#system.plugins += ("crapMobs");
#system.plugins += ("cursesui");
#system.plugins += ("filelog");
#system.plugins += ("flatpermissions");
#system.plugins += ("nBreak");
#system.plugins += ("nether");
#system.plugins += ("passiveMobs");
#system.plugins += ("whitelist");

(Since commands-plugin is the most important)

Hello my friends.

After reading the source code and debugging the mineserver, I'd discovered what was my mistake.

It was just the parameter "system.protocol_encryption" in the "config.cfg" file.

I just changed its value from "true" to "false", and the mineserver no more sends the encryption request at login state.

Now, I can to connect and login to mineserver successfully.

Thanks for the help and for this amazing working.

Oh my God! It really works and it's amazing! Excelent work! Cheesy

hmm ok, strange that the encryption doesn't work =/

I have the encryption enabled in the test server (at mineserver.be) and it seems to be working.
You could also try to connect there, the authentication is also enabled for the server.

Thank you! I hope you'll have fun with mineserver! =)

If there's some missing features you can also ask about those, I'm open for ideas Wink

Thanks Fador.

I hope to contribute with some ideas, after I read and understand the mineserver source code, and make some tests and experiments.

I think Notch should write the original minecraft server in C++ like you did. It's so logical to use C++ instead of java for many reasons (you know Cheesy ).

And now, minecraft belong to the dark side of the force, also called Microsoft.  Undecided

Who knows what they will do with minecraft?

I hope they won't break it or put some bugs inside it.

I see the mineserver as "a new hope" (as Star Wars Cheesy ).

The mineserver wasn't implemented on the original minecraft code. You wrote it from scratch, and it's just amazing.

You made a excelent work, no doubt, and I'll have a lot of fun learning the source code.

Thank you very much and continue this fantastic work.
